Nutrition Education Consultant, Mitra Rash (BA,
MA, Diploma Nutrition) believes that diet is the
first line of defense against illness and is a
powerful tool for sustained health, recovery and
positive mental attitudes. The relationship between
nutrition and a healthy lifestyle is critical.
Mitra therefore teaches workshops on organic/vegetarian
foods, emotional eating/diet, healthful cooking,
international healthful menus and other relevant
topics. In addition, she specializes in offering
nutritional counseling to families who have children
with special needs and addresses the relationship
between diet and conditions such as Autism, Asperger’s
Syndrome, ADHD, and other Learning Disabilities

Mitra earned her M.A. from New York University in International
Relations and went on to work for the United Nations and
then Legacy International based in Virginia, USA. After
becoming a mother and developing an interest in natural,
organic foods and healthy lifestyles, she undertook a
new career in Nutrition Counseling having received her
diploma as a Certified Nutritionist from The American
Academy of Nutrition.
Mitra offers lectures and consultations on a variety
of Health and Nutrition topics such as
"The Relationship Between Nutrition and
our Health", "Children's Nutrition and Autism",
"Children's Nutrition and ADHD", "Nutrition
and Life Cycles: Childhood, Teenage Years, Pregnancy,
Middle Age, Old Age". She also offers
comprehensive nutrition assessments and counseling,
including recommendations, recipes, menu suggestions
and seminars (some include cooking classes) that focus
on the importance of food and our dietary habits and
health. These services are also available via questionnaires
over the internet to long-distance and overseas clients.
